Annie Tordoff
This month I tried my first ever Glossybox and I was very impressed! It cost £10 plus £3.25 postage and packaging. I sometimes think this is a little steep but this box contained 3 full sized products which definitely made it an absolute bargain!

One of my favourite things about this box which persuaded me to take the plunge and subscribe was the Iconic Hollywood theme. The box is soo pretty! It has a vintage feel with an image of Marilyn Monroe on the front and a pink polka dot print within. The Elizabeth Taylor quote is one of my favourites and I was very excited when I saw it. This box came tied with a peachy pink ribbon and powder pink confetti around the products. The box also came in yellow, green and blue with different quotes inside and I really wish I could own all of them.

In this box, I received a full size Lord & Berry Lipstick Crayon, a full size POP Beauty Kajal Eyeliner, a full size Color Club Nail Polish, a sample of Nougat London bath pearls and a sample of Darphin Exquisage Beauty Revealing Cream.

Lord & Berry 20100 Lipstick Crayon in Kiss

I'm not a huge fan of red lipsticks but I was really intrigued by the tone of this. It's a very bright, classic red but it has an orange base to it, which I think makes it great for summer. I am going abroad for the sunshine months and this will definitely be coming with me! It's matte and is so creamy; the only downside is that it is quite a thick pencil which can make application a little messy, so I'd still recommend using a lip pencil beforehand.

This retails for £10 but I spotted it in the sale on BeautyExpert.com for £7.50!

POP Beauty Kajal Eyeliner Pen in Sooty Black

This comes with the black eyeliner on one side and a smudging sponge on the other. It's quite thick and creamy and is a really soft, easy to smudge texture so you don't even really need the sponge. There isn't much to say about this. It's just your average kajal eyeliner, albeit a very smooth one.

This retails for £6.50. Reasonable as although it's nothing extraordinary, it is a make up bag essential.

Color Club Nail Polish in Barely There

I'm such a huge fan of nude nail polishes all year round but particularly in Spring when I want something fresh and fun but I'm not ready to move onto the corals and turquoises of Summer. Pastels are what I really need in Spring. This colour is the perfect nude, and I've tried them all. 'Barely There' is an apt name for it - with one coat it just looked like my natural nails were super shiny.

This colour makes me feel really innocent and bridal but maybe I'm just taking inspiration from Anna Saccone's recent ring picture!

This retails for £4.10 and I will definitely be repurchasing when it runs out.

Nougat London Soothing Bath Pearls in Fig and Pink Cedar

Although I was less than impressed by this product, the scent is absolutely amazing!! It did nothing particularly great for me - despite putting a generous amount in my bath, the water wasn't moisturising, it didn't feel any different, I couldn't really smell the scent I was so excited about and it failed to deliver the 'subtle shimmer' that it promises.

I have, however, found the perfect use for these bath pearls and they are currently in my drawer acting as an air freshener. The cute little bag is perfect for this too!

This retails at £6 for 35g.

Darphin Exquisage Beauty Revealing Cream

I'm sorry if I've butchered the name of this as I'm pretty sure there are lots of accents and what not going on. I absolutely love this product!! Whilst I'm not a fan of companies naming their product so loosely (I end up spending a long time trying to figure out what I'm supposed to actually do with it), the card in my Glossybox says that it 'replenishes skin, enhances firmness and boosts luminosity'. I translated this to 'moisturiser'. I was a bit wary of using a fragranced product on my sensitive skin but it has caused no harm and you only need a very small amount. It leaves my skin so soft and is great whether I'm using it as a day cream under make up or before bed at night.  The only downside is the price. I will continue using my little sample sparingly before inevitably having to purchase the full size! If you can afford it, it's definitely worth it and I do feel as though skin care is an area where you shouldn't be scrimping and saving.

This retails at £65 (gulp) for 50ml. I want it!

Hi everyone! I recently decorated my bedroom but progress has been very slow as there's still lots of things I need to decide upon, e.g. where to store my shoes so there's still a lot of boxes and what not going on in here. However, here are some cute little bits I have managed to get organised:

Dressing table and make up storage

My little cacti

Storage area for important things

Bedside table (fab for snacks in bed)

I hope to get the rest of it sorted out asap as it's no fun having all this mess around me and I want to be able to share proper photos!

Hi everyone! Today I'm going to be reviewing the Naked On The Run palette by Urban Decay. This is a bit of a compilation palette, which includes a mascara, eyeliner, lipgloss, 5 eyeshadows and a blusher/bronzer duo. I'd like to start off by mentioning my two favourite things about this palette - the case is absolutely stunning complete with a huge mirror, and all the shades in it are unique. This was a major selling point for me, as someone who owns a lot of Urban Decay products already.

I'd just like to mention/forewarn here that the swatches in this post will probably be some of the worst you've ever seen, as my camera's broken so I had to take them on my phone and the lighting was questionable to say the least.

Can we just appreciate how gorgeous this palette is?!

The mascara

This mascara is a miniature (4ml) of Perversion. It has cool metallic packaging with the tagline 'Bigger. Badder. Blacker', and I do agree with this statement. The mascara is super super black, and it's great for volumising, but I'm not so keen on these types of wands as I think they can easily look clumpy and give you 'spider leg lashes'. However, when used carefully over a lengthening mascara, Perversion does look fab!

The eyeliner

This is a miniature (0.8g) version of Urban Decay's well known 24/7 Glide On Eye Pencil, which I've been a fan of for as long as I can remember. It's got a creamy formula which goes on without any pulling. It's in the shade 'Stag' which is new for this palette and is a very deep brown. When looking at it and swatching it, this liner has a shimmer to it, however this is barely visible on the face. I usually swear by black eyeliner but this is a lovely shade which gives more of a soft and subtle finish. It's especially great as an under the eye liner with a liquid black on the lid.

The lip gloss

This is a full sized (!!!) Naked Ultra Nourishing Lip Gloss, again in the new shade 'Sesso'. I don't tend to use lip glosses as I find them drying and hate the sticky feeling. I won't lie and say this isn't sticky at all, but it isn't half as bad as most glosses I've tried (in fact, I've just tried it on to see how sticky it really is and this time it isn't actually tacky at all which is confusing me a bit as it definitely was before). It's also not drying in the slightest, I think it must have some sort of lip balm in the ingredients. Sesso is a beautiful rose-nude hue, making it perfect to wear alongside the smoky eyeshadows in the palette. As the colour isn't too overpowering, a slick could also be worn on top of pinkish lipsticks for longer lasting wear.

The eyeshadows

I have a great love for eyeshadows, Urban Decay in particular! I've always liked make up but the transition from appreciation to full blown obsession occurred when I bought my first Naked palette in 2012 and 3 years later, my eyeshadow collection is definitely one of the most expensive things I own. Anyway, back on topic. There are six eyeshadows in this palette. Dive is a beautiful rose gold metallic colour and is my favourite of the 6. It's super pretty, super shimmery and super versatile. It brightens up what is otherwise quite a dark palette and would be great for day or night. Fix is a matte light brown colour which is great for using in the crease of your eyelid. Dare is a very similar matte shadow except that it is a darker brown, but the two work well together when creating a matte smoky eye. They seem to be quite buildable so you can go as dark as you wish with these. Again, Resist and Stun are similar with Stun being the darker of the two. They're deep, shimmery brown shades with hints of glitter. 5050 is slightly bigger than the other shadows, which I believe is because it's a base shade. It's satin smooth and feels luxurious on your eyes. It's a champagne colour with shimmery sparkle which makes for a great lid colour. Obviously, as with all Urban Decay eyeshadow products these are super pigmented! I would recommend using with a primer as they do smudge when you're wearing them for a long time.

The blusher/bronzer

I'm so in love with this duo!! I normally forgo blusher because I often have naturally red cheeks
which I hate, so I have no desire to put pink all over them. I'm also a big fan of super defined cheekbones and contouring and I feel as though blusher can be unnecessary in that look, however this super Barbie pink rosy colour is so lovely that I actually want to use it. It's shimmery and pretty and so girly that you can't help but feel kind of cute when you're wearing it. I am a great lover of bronzers and this one certainly didn't disappoint. It's a matte terracotta colour, which I like, but what really impressed me about this one is just how pigmented it is. My usual go to bronzer is Bourjois' Delice de Poudre in 52 tanned, which is quite a similar colour to this, however with that one I don't feel the colour comes off great and I do need to dip my brush a few times before I achieve the colour I want. With this bronzer, I found the first time around, there was more than enough to go around. I could probably do with an even lighter bronzer for my skin tone, but as this is a palette I can hardly complain about that. This blusher/bronzer duo was so impressive that I've already got my eye on the Naked Flushed.

Overall, I was so impressed with this palette. It's RRP is £37.00 which I think is so reasonable. All you'd need in addition to this palette is a foundation, concealer and a few brushes and you've got a complete make up look here. I was surprised that it's the same price as a Naked palette as, although you get half as many eyeshadows in here, you get so many other great things for your money. I think this palette is great for make up newbies and professionals alike!
